Conner and I went hiking there in Sept. of 2012.
He was 5 at the time. It is a easy 2 mile loop. He found it very enjoyable. It is actually the first Indiana hike he went on. I would suggest this trail to any parents looking for an easy hike for a smaller child. They will find the cave very interesting. Certain times of the year you can even go through the cave. We just happened to be there when you could not.

Conner and went back to the Wolf Cave in Sept. 2014. They have now opened the cave most of the year to go through. It was a really cool expierence. It is about 5' tall in most spots, but the corridor that leads to the other side is narrow. He could walk through it, but I ended up scooting along on my butt. I had both backpacks, so I would toss them in front of me and scoot to them. The hole we went out of on the other end is about 2' tall. We had to belly crawl out of it, but there is another opening I did not see that is bigger and not on the ground.
If you decide to go through the cave I would suggest bringing a flashlight. There is no light in the narrow corridor. It was a lot of fun.
