Conner's Photo Gallery Taken On Augusta Lake Dam Hike
Augusta Lake Dam Trail is located in the Sugar Ridge Fish & Wildlife Area #4 near the Pike State Forest. We went their on a nice day in January. Conner had just turned 8 and Maddox was 3. It is a moderate yet fairly easy trail to hike for kids. A couple of steep hills but pretty flat after that. The trail is not marked, but easy to follow. At the West edge of the dam their is a nice waterfall you can go down to and even get it. You have to go into the woods a little to see it, but it is very nice. Conner at time of the hike was really into finding a bigfoot and wanted to go bigfoot hunting. I thought this was the perfect place to do this. He really enjoyed it and thinks he found some evidence of a bigfoot out there. This is a good hike for any kid. Easy to walk and very secluded.
